WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT
IN PROTECTED AREAS

Since 1997, Dendroica Environnement et Faune has accomplished a multitude of mandates related to wildlife mangement in protected areas in eastern and northwest Canada for government agencies and private landowners.

Here are some examples of projects in the field of wildlife management in protected areas.

For the Lac-en-Cœur owner association

  • Baseline forest breeding birds, western chorus frog, terrestrial plant and fish habitat survey and assessment during the environmental impact study of the replacement of a foot bridge across the Old Chelsea creek in Gatineau park. Que.

For the National Capitale Commission

  • Description and identification of protected area network in the eastern portion of the Mulgrave et Derry municipality, Que.

For the Mulgrave et Derry municipality

  • Habitat criteria assessment and species at risk (Canada warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Peregrine falcon) survey to assess the impact of Gatineau park trail network on wildlife. Que.

For the Groupe DDM

  • Migratory nesting songbird baseline survey for the restoration of trail # 36 in Gatineau park, Que.

For the National Capitale Commission

  • Forest ecosystem characterization and rare plant survey in the public lots 33-35, rang 4 for the proposed private natural reserve at Murray and Ellen lakes, Que.
